Isonyx Systems was founded by Maria Buitrago with a simple vision: to provide process improvement thought leadership for small to mid-size companies. Isonyx strives to be the trusted partner clients rely on to solve tough process challenges and look to for cutting edge solutions that drive growth. The practice, led by Maria Buitrago leverages over 20 years of experience in supply chain and operations management over a wide range of sectors. The firm’s technical capacity is complemented by leadership experience spanning a wide range of manufacturing environments including the packaging of pharmaceutical and consumer goods products.  Maria has shaped the practice to work through teams to develop and implement strategy, continuous improvement programs and product launches.

Maria’s experience includes leading improvement projects in the U.S, Europe and Latin America.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Marine Engineering from S.U.N.Y. Maritime College, a Masters of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.  A native of Colombia she is fluent in Spanish.
